Support the Rare Disease Fund (RDF) and individuals living with rare diseases as we #LightUpforRare, a global landmark illumination spearheaded by Rare Voices Australia.
Prominent landmarks all around the world will light up in the Rare Disease Day colours to raise awareness for the millions living with rare diseases and their families. RDF has partnered with seven organisations for an islandwide light-up event, illuminating these prominent buildings in hues of blue and purple.
Rare diseases, though few and far between, exert a huge impact on approximately 2,000 individuals in our local community, of which 700 of them are children.
The RDF is managed by the KKH Health Fund (part of SingHealth Fund) through KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) and supported by the Ministry of Health.
With Rare Disease Day on its actual day of 29 February this leap year, join us as we spread the awareness on the rarest day of the year, take pictures of these iconic landmarks during the light-up and post them on social media, hashtag #RaiseforRare and tag us at @rarediseasefundsingapore
