Every artwork tells a story. Some of the works here are inspired by myths and legends, introducing us to people from long ago or places that we have never seen. Others express the artist’s beliefs and concerns about the world we live in. As we explore different forms of art, we begin to learn more about the world and ourselves.
Themed “Dreams & Stories,” the first edition of Gallery Children’s Biennale invites the inner child in each of us to embark on a creative journey. Explore the world through the eyes of nine artists from Singapore and beyond: Chng Seok Tin, Mark Justiniani, Yayoi Kusama, Vincent Leow, Lynn Lu, teamLab, Tran Trong Vu, Ian Woo and Robert Zhao.
Uncover the stories behind ten installations spread across the Gallery. To enrich your experience, pick up a Gallery Children’s Biennale Art Pack containing ideas for discussion and activities designed to enhance the appreciation of each artwork.
In conjunction with Gallery Children’s Biennale, a series of public programmes, film screenings, special tours for families, and artist-led workshops for children have also been lined up.
