The new SisuGirls podcast offers Inspiring interivews and topics that encourage girls to be confident and find inner strength. Now this is what girlpower sounds like!
Singapore’s own SisuGirls, a movement encouraging girls to find their inner strength and feel confident in themselves through sport and adventure, now has a podcast!
Hosted by professional cyclist Dr Bridie O’Donnell, the SisuGirls podcast delves into all things ‘sisu’ – a Finnish word meaning bravery, resilience and determination – through interviews with a variety of strong, trailblazing women, who all have one thing in common, they are outliers in their field.
In week one we heard from four-time Winter Olympic aerial skier and 2010 Vancouver gold medalist Lydia Lassila; in week two we hear from Australia’s most capped Netball player, Liz Ellis. These two incredible women are just the beginning of 10 weeks of inspiring female leaders.
Bridie’s conversations are sometimes intimate, sometimes lighthearted, often funny but always aimed at revealing something what unlocks the sisu both within you and that which is within reach of our girls. Visit the SisuGirls website to listen direct, find the podcast on iTunes, or download the podcast from the Podcast App on your iPhone by searching ‘SisuGirls’.
