Looking for a great way for the kids to spend their summer break in Singapore? Check out the June Holiday Camp at The Grandstand!
The (summer) heat is on, mums! Soon you’ll have your kiddos all to yourselves now that the school holidays are underway. And trust us, you’ll need to find something to keep your little bundles of energy occupied. The good news? The Grandstand is having its annual June Holiday Camp – perfect for kids who haven’t quite made up their minds about how they want to spend their summer.
A bit of everything in one place
As mums, we all know how fickle our kids can be. Thankfully, the folks over at The Grandstand have come up with a way for kids to try a wide variety of classes, – and at an affordable price too! We’re talking about activities like taekwondo, gymnastics, drum classes and language classes, and even a chance to make your own creepy play dough monster… all in one day! For more details, check out this exciting list of things to do:
Taekwondo: At JH Kim Taekwondo Institute, your kiddo will learn the basics of blocking, striking, and kicking. They’ll also pick-up basic self-defence techniques from JH Kim’s experienced instructors.
Gymnastics: Strength, flexibility, power, coordination – these are just some of the benefits your kids can get from a gymnastics class at Bubbles Gymnastics!
Arts and Crafts: Get your kids’ creative juices flowing at a fun oven baked clay class at The LPN Art School. We hear they’re going to make their own creepy monsters!
Fun with Lego Bricks: Your little budding engineers will have the time of their lives building their own transformable creations with Lego at Bricks 4 Kidz. Don’t worry, there are step-by-step building plans to help them along the way.
Drum Classes: Have you always wanted your kids to try music classes but didn’t know where to start? This hour long class at Drum Tutor is the perfect teaser to what they could expect in an actual drum class.
Culinary Fun: Here’s a class both you and your kiddos could benefit from! At Learning ArtZ, kids will be taught how to make and decorate marshmallows of various shapes and designs made from natural ingredients. The best part – these marshmallows taste great with a cuppa!
Learn Mandarin: Struggling to get your kids to learn Mandarin? At Yang Language School, they’ll get a taste of what it’s like to learn Mandarin the fun way though creative and stimulating activities.
This day camp runs from 12 to 22 June and is available to two age groups:, three to six year olds, and seven to 12 year olds. You will find a suitable range of activities that will challenge your child mentally and physically, so all you have to do is sign them up!
More treats for the kids
Yes, we know what you’re thinking: my kids will need heaps of snacks and (eventually) lunch to fuel up. Not to worry, participants will get an all-inclusive, nutritious meal from Canteen. They’ll also receive a free goodie bag packed with treats from your favourite Grandstand stores. For regulars at The Grandstand, there are free passes to Kidzland, the largest integrated indoor playground in Singapore.

It’s a no brainer, but do dress your kids in loose and comfortable clothes such as t-shirts and shorts – they’ll need loads of room to stretch and kick, especially during their taekwondo and gymnastics classes!

From physical development and creative thinking, to culinary classes and the arts, you won’t find an opportunity like this anywhere else.
