In partnership with The Little Cookhouse, De Kinder Club will be conducting a fun and insightful Science & Baking Camp themed, The Unbelievable Baking Lab! Suitable for older kids from 6 to 9-years-old, these full-day sessions combine fundamental baking techniques with intriguing Science concepts by focusing on a specific food ingredient each day.
On the 18th March 2020, look out for Sour Town Rescue, where kids can participate in a science experiment using lemons! Did you know that the acid in the lemon can be used as a conductor? How about using lemons as a baking ingredient? The kiddos can bake their own Lemon Pound Race Car Cake for a delicious, zesty snack!
Then on the 19th March 2020, learn more about the versatile ingredient, baking soda! Besides being a very effective cleaning agent, it also creates amazing chemical reactions! Join The Unbelievable Baking Lab for an experiment with baking soda to power up your own handmade recyclable boats. Then, the littlies can also bake their own Pirate Cupcakes with baking soda as one of the essential ingredients as a tasty treat!
Lastly, don’t miss the session on the 20th March 2020 where the young ‘uns will get to learn how electrical circuit boards work? Everyone becomes a Sherlock, solving hints to uncover the concepts of electrical conductivity and circuits at this science workshop. They’ll also get to make their own edible magnifying glass and a magnifying glass cookie for the ultimate Sherlock Holmes experience.
