However, the Italian Sunday Brunch at Park Hyatt Bangkok<\/a>‘s Embassy Room La Marina might just change your mind. Instead of the usual buffet setup, it follows an all-you-can-eat a la carte concept. Dishes are prepared fresh and served tableside.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Located on the 9th floor of Park Hyatt Bangkok, the space feels bright and airy, with views overlooking the pool where guests lounge and unwind. There\u2019s also outdoor seating available, but with Bangkok\u2019s heat, I opted for the comfort of air-conditioning inside.<\/span><\/p>\n

I arrived expecting the usual brunch setup, the long buffet stations and endless walking back and forth. But that wasn\u2019t the case at all. Instead, I can just order from the menu and let the staff take care of the rest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There was a DJ setting the mood with easy background music. I also spotted families with kids enjoying the brunch, which made it clear this is a kid-friendly experience. Children can stay seated and enjoy the meal comfortably without having to run around for food.<\/span><\/p>\n

The experience started with a selection of hot and cold starters. On the hot side, there were comforting Italian bites like sourdough bruschetta topped with ox-heart tomatoes, mozzarella and basil, along with Tuscan-style chicken liver served with sweet-and-sour onions.<\/span><\/p>\n

But as a seafood lover, it was the cold selection that really won me over. The seafood tower immediately caught my attention, featuring fresh Boudeuse oysters, blue swimmer crab salad, tiger prawns and a refreshing seafood salad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There was also a selection of egg dishes. Choices included eggs cooked in a rich tomato and onion sauce with basil and Florentine-style poached eggs served on sourdough with baby spinach and hollandaise. My personal favourite was the sunny-side-up egg with black truffle, especially as the staff shaved the truffle right in front of me before serving.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moving on to the main courses, the selection felt satisfying and well balanced, with a mix of comforting pastas, seafood and hearty meat dishes. I liked how each dish leaned into familiar Italian flavours without feeling too heavy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The handmade pastas were especially enjoyable, ranging from rich tomato-based options to lighter seafood combinations with garlic and chili. As someone who loves pesto sauce, the highlight for me was the layered lasagna with basil pesto, bechamel and parmesan. The portion wasn\u2019t too heavy, which left enough room to continue other dishes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides the pasta, there were also well-executed mains, including roasted fish served with Mediterranean-style vegetables and grilled squid kept simple with garlic oil and chili.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even though I literally ordered everything on the menu, the desserts were still not to be missed. The selection included options such as custard and pine nut tart, lemon biscuits and lemon lollipops.<\/span><\/p>\n

But what impressed me most was the tiramisu. Chef Alessio Banchero cut and served it tableside. It was sweet and creamy yet surprisingly light, never feeling overwhelming. I\u2019d honestly say it was one of the best tiramisus I\u2019ve ever tasted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Is Italian Sunday Brunch at Embassy Room La Marina worth the visit?\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

I ended up spending almost four hours there, which honestly says a lot about how enjoyable the experience was. For me, it\u2019s definitely worth the visit. If you\u2019re not a fan of walking back and forth to a classic brunch buffet, this is where you can truly embrace a slow Sunday. The service felt attentive throughout and the elegant setting gave the meal an almost fine-dining feel. While you\u2019re there and if your budget allows, I\u2019d recommend opting for the unlimited beverage add-on packages, which start at B750 per person, to make the experience feel even more complete.<\/span><\/p>\n
