A perfect learning environment
In case you didn’t already know, Swish! is located in one of our favourite kid-friendly hoods: Dempsey Hill! That means you can expect lessons to be conducted amidst the lush greenery of Loewen Gardens. Not only is it the best environment for dedicated swim classes for kids up to 12 years of age, but these lessons are also led by qualified instructors and attentive experts that’ll make learning a splash. The popular swim school also has indoor and outdoor purpose-built pools for teaching, and its even-depth pools are temperature-controlled and salt-chlorinated with an in-built ledge for the tots, too.
One of the other reasons why we love Swish! is its approach and motto towards swimming. After all, learning how to swim is a great life skill that our children can maintain through their life. Not to mention, swimming is an easy way to help the kids stay fit, healthy and strong. Plus, it’s also an amazing confidence builder, and it opens up a range of activities you can do with your kids on the weekends and holidays. For one, Swish! believes that when you know how to swim, you can go surfing, water skiing and even scuba diving with the kiddos, too – and we agree!
Just keep swimming
Besides keeping the kids active, did you know that Swish!’s progression swim classes also help their students reach their age-specific swimming milestones? The swim school follows the general guidelines laid out by the Royal Life Saving Society Australia (RLSSA), which suggests that by the age of six, your child should be able to swim five metres continuously, submerge and swim through an obstacle, and identify people and how to help in an aquatic emergency.
The RLSSA has also stressed the importance of ensuring that your little one continues to develop their skills in the sport even after reaching these milestones. After all, just as adults can lose fitness, our children can lose their ability and swim skills, too – so it’s even more important for them to keep swimming!
So, if you’re looking for swim lessons that will continually develop your child’s swimming skills, check out Swish!’s range of classes to help your child to meet these milestones in a safe and fun environment.
