Kids can challenge themselves on the Cliff Ball Pool in Gani’s Playground or learn how to drive their very own self-propelled car around Tayo’s Road Circuit. Jewel Changi Honeykids Asia Singapore

We’re loving the indoor fountain!

Escape the heat at a shopping centre. We’re heading to the shiny new Jewel Changi Airport where hopefully the crowds will have died down by now enough for us to actually take the kids over to the amazing indoor waterfall, have a pandan milkshake or two at the newly opened ‘Shake Shack’, bounce around on nets at the Canopy Park, or just indulge in a bit of shopping. Don’t forget to swing by Changi Airport’s Spider-Man: Far From Home adventure playground for zip-lines and obstacle course as well as exhibition, meet and greets and more.

Spend a happy, QUIET afternoon at the library!

We put together a summer reading list, but if the kids prefer something a little more engaging, grab a mag subscription or an activity book from your favourite children’s bookstore and settle in with a mug of coffee.

Catch this powerful performance INALA this June. Photography: Jane Hobson.

For something a little different, pop on your tutus and pirouette over to a whirlwind performance of Inala – a Zulu ballet. This exhilarating fusion of South African and Western cultures is happening from 19 to 22 June.

Keep your eyes peeled for things to do this Hari Raya. Whether you’re fasting or not this Ramadan, you’ll want to head to the Geylang Bazaar happening now until 5 June at Geylang Serai for all the wonderful street food. We skipped the Impossible Burgers, Praffles and Brown Sugar Boba this year in favour of trad street foods like Otah Otah, Dendeng and Apam Balik. Bring cash (and the kids) and prepare to shell out for some incredible eats and endless shopping.

Get acquainted with the sights and sounds of Singapore and hop on a public bus to escape the heat while you admire the sights. Explore one of the many heritage trails or make your own. Hop off at freaky Haw Par Villa, take a stroll through Chinatown and then discover the secret gems of Ang Mo Kio. There’s plenty to see and do which is what makes this little sunny island so special.

Father’s Day is just around the corner so send dad out on a fun-filled day with the kids before refuelling at a well-deserved Father’s day feast.

We’ve got the smaller kids all sorted, but what about the teens? Ship them off to the beach for some sun, throw them in an escape room, or if you’ve got gamers on your hands, round up their friends and head to Zero Latency. This Virtual Reality experience will keep them immersed in the game while actually engaging their brains for a bit. Definitely better than a Wii!
