NEWSFLASH: We love an epic family day out in Sentosa, so we were pretty sad to announce last year that one of Singapore’s awesome attractions for kids, Port of Lost Wonder, was closing its doors after Christmas. You joined us with cries of ‘noooooooo!’, but there IS a silver lining, folks: due to public demand, the Port of Lost Wonder Pirate Ship is back, as the Palawan Pirate Ship!
Even better: it’s FREE for families to enjoy. And you know how much we love a free water play park in Singapore. Port of Lost Wonder as we know it is closed, and its website reflects this. So we spoke to the folks at Sentosa Development Corporation to get the official word, and here is what you need to know:
- POLW is indeed closed, and the cafe and shop are no longer in operation. Only the pirate ship water play area has reopened – and is now known as Palawan Pirate Ship.
- Yes, entry is free. As always, adults must be accompanied by children to enter.
- You can have a birthday party at the Palawan Pirate Ship! Bookings will be taken from February, so get in touch, party people.
- You might have heard rumours that Palawan Pirate Ship will be open for another six months, but there is no fixed timeline as it is subject to redevelopment works in the area. Stay posted…
In the meantime, here’s to getting another chance to have a blast at the pirate ship – see you at the water canons!
