Paediatric tui na massage, a TCM therapy most effective for children six and below can be a simple and natural health and wellness method when done in the right way.
Participants in this workshop get to learn the fundamental principles of paediatric massage used in wellness and healthcare, learning concepts such as distinguishing “cold” and “heat”, “deficiency” and “excess”, and how to locate common acupressure points on children. Under guidance of an instructor, parents learn how to identify on their child, common acupressure points on the head, all four limbs, stomach and back. They also get to learn massage techniques as well as how to care for common child ailments like coughs, heatiness, diarrhoea, and more.
English and Mandarin sessions available.
Advisory: Recommended for children between 4 to 6 years old with an accompanying parent/guardian. Accompanying adults must be above 16. No admission for ages below 4. Recommended to dress comfortably in loose clothing for the workshop.
