Parents, you know you’re with us when we say we miss the days when we’d sit at our favourite cafes, sip our lattes at a decent temperature without a toddler screaming and interrupting us every five minutes because they need something. Now we get to hang out at soft play with “Baby Shark” on a loop and hope that the shiny ball pits are gleaming because they’ve been cleaned with disinfectant and nothing else. Ugh. We’re with you.
And so is Maggie Bolger. A young mum with three kids under the age of four, she was tired of the slim pickings for family fun available to parents in London. She partnered up with Rose Astor and Maggie & Rose was born: a private members club for adults and kids of all ages. And now it’s come to Singapore! Dempsey Hill was always a favourite spot on our sunny island, but with Maggie & Rose arriving their soon, it’s a now a surefire winner.

Unlike your typical kids venues, Maggie & Rose is a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing creative space that has us swooning – and we already got a sneak peek. We recently stopped by its pop-up at Forum the Shopping Mall and were instantly crushing on its vintage, eclectic style (and all the other cute clothes and shoes from Kids 21).
We hear its Dempsey digs are going to be equally stylish (with a partnership with Kids 21, you can be certain there’ll be no scrimping on the cool stuff!), and it’ll be inspired by its ethos: EAT, PLAY and LEARN, all while set amongst lush greenery.
There’ll be an outdoor forest, a learning garden, a brasserie and vintage food truck, a hidden Big Kids Den – the fun is endless as a new fave hangout with the famalam in tow! And it’s not all just play spaces. Maggie & Rose has an awesome range of activities from make believe, to cooking and craft, and mini musicians classes! And for mum, they also have really lovely classes for mum. Look out for its holiday camps and drop–off programs for little ones from 12-36 months.
