Here’s how you can give your academically advanced child the opportunity to reach his or her fullest potential...
As parents, we’re always looking for ways to give our children the best opportunities possible. And when it comes to exceptional, gifted kids, finding the right school that will nurture their potential to the fullest can be tough. This is where the folks at GESS come in. This upcoming academic year, the school is launching a Centre for Excellence for talented, high-potential students. Here’s what else we found out:
Say hello to the GESS Centre for Excellence
To create targeted opportunities for its talented and highly-motivated students, GESS has established its Centre for Excellence. How does it do it? Students who have been identified as talented are given full guidance through targeted talent development programs in areas spanning across sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics, languages, humanities and social sciences. This means that you can be assured that your talented child will receive the individualised attention they need to maximise their potential. Most importantly, it will give them the competitive edge they need to be able to pursue their aspirations beyond their school years. Pretty cool stuff, we think!
Mentors who help students pave the way to success
For high-potential students to become outstanding and exceptional in their areas of talent, proper mentorship could make all the difference. At GESS, the staff are undergoing professional training on how to mentor and stretch the minds of talented students through partnerships with the European Talent Network, Technical University of Munich (Asia) and other leaders of industry. In fact, GESS is the only school outside of Europe to be accepted into the Junior Engineer Network, created by the Deutsche Telekom Foundation.
