Well wasn’t that just the hippiest, hoppiest, happiest kind of weekend? But now that the Easter bunny ears have been stowed for another year, we’re turning attention away from the Easter treats, and over to fun things to do with the kids this week. As ever, our team of junior reporters have been scouring Singapore for all the fun stuff…
1. Fly over to Sentosa with your teens
Teenagers are notoriously hard to please, and even harder to entertain. Send them over to iFly Indoor Skydiving, where the sky’s literally the limit. It will be a thrilling adventure that may even cause them to smile. Temporarily… Maybe.
2. Get away for a couple of days as a family
We used the long weekend as an excuse to jet away for an easy breezy vacay with the kids. Easter saw the team soaking up the fun on a beach in Krabi, trying out tropical island life in Rawa, and adventuring through ancient landscapes in Java. Look out for our upcoming reviews, and in the meantime check out our guide to fuss-free getaways close to Singapore.
3. Book tix for a show
There are plenty of cool shows and concerts happening for kids of all ages and we want in on all of them! Check out The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime with older kids, and bring tots, toddlers and tweens to see The Nightingale, both happening now. And next weekend it’s Katy Perry time – get ready to Roar!
4. Or put on your own show…
Sometimes the easiest activites turn out to be the most fun of all. Our kids ransacked our wardrobes and their own dress up boxes to create outfits for their own show. We have to admit we may have shed a little tear of pride at their efforts. Is there anything more adorable than a five-year-old singing ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ in a Spiderman outfit and his sister’s pink wellies?
5. Take some time off
It was a long weekend, and school holidays seem to have gone on forever, so, mums, we’re dedicating #5 to you! Ditch the kids and head off to an affordable spa for a facial, massage or pedicure. Or all three!
