Nothing says family bonding more than a getaway. Jetstar’s move to Changi Airport Terminal 4 promises families a seamless and fun-filled flight experience, on top of its year-long low-cost flight deals!
Looking to spend some good old quality time with the fam? Why not venture on a much-needed family getaway! There are so many nearby destinations to explore — with most being just a mere one- to two-hour flight away. After all, nothing says family bonding like being together 24/7, and sharing new experiences.
The best part? Jetstar flies to plenty of such destinations. Even better, it’ll be operating out of Changi Airport Terminal 4 (T4) from 22 March 2023 onwards! Take it from us: visiting T4 is like a holiday in itself; here’s why.
Travel procedures are made easier at T4
First of all, getting to T4 is super easy: simply hop on the free shuttle bus from T2 and T3 once you exit the MRT station. Coming from Jewel? The free shuttle bus can bring you from Jewel to T4 as well!
Secondly, there are no long queues at the check-in counters in T4 – a big win for parents! Instead, you can make a beeline for Jetstar’s self-check-in at Row 7. T4 is the only terminal in Changi Airport to have automated self-service options from check-in to bag drop, immigration, and all the way to boarding. Don’t worry about keeping the kids entertained, as they’ll be mesmerised by the gorgeous Immersive Wall that features high definition renderings of Singapore’s landscape on a loop.
And this is our favourite part: the whole going through security thingamajig has been made easier and way more efficient. For example, you won’t need to take your laptop out of your hand-carry bags. How’s that for a win? No more rushing to repack while juggling bub on the other hand.
There are so many ways to entertain the kids (and yourself) at the terminal
So much to do, and so little time!
Start by letting the kids make a grand entrance to the boarding area via T4’s viral slide. The fun can then begin at Chandelier, the terminal’s five-storey rope playground that’s just as fun as it looks. Tweens and teens will also be happy to know that the Entertainment Corner in T4 is equipped with arcade machines and a foosball table. Game on!
With the kids settled, you and your spouse can sit back, relax, and check out Dick Lee’s Peranakan Love Story and Nanyang Blossom short films played on Heritage Zone’s shophouses’ façade. Fancy a cuppa? TWG Tea has a tea-brewing demonstration with tea sampling to follow.
You can also get some retail therapy done at T4’s giant duty-free zone. Mums can score their next arm candy at Coach, Furla, and Charles & Keith. You could also head to WHSmith or ZakkaSG and spoil the kids with some toys and picture books. Otherwise, simply unwind on the adorable animal-shaped chairs (a favourite with kids), or catch some shuteye at many quirky and comfortable chairs.
Last but not least, don’t forget to snap some family wefies before boarding! T4 has some of the most Insta-worthy spots, from the colourful shophouses at the Heritage Zone, Chandelier playground, and the beautiful Steel in Bloom garden.
Pro-tip: Visit T4 on an empty stomach, and fill up at a large range of F&B options. Think: International Food Hall, Tiger Den, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and more. But don’t worry if the family’s having too much fun and about to miss the chance to grab a bite, Jetstar has got you covered on that onboard…
All aboard Jetstar’s family-friendly flight
With Jetstar, your flight won’t just be a means to an end. Instead, it’ll be an experience that kickstarts your holiday on a fantastic note. Every Jetstar flight has family at its core: get ready to be greeted by a friendly and helpful crew, who will go out of their way to make your family feel at home.
Hungry stomachs will be spoiled for choice with a varied line-up of in-flight meals. You can grab a snack for the little ones or fill the family up with a full dinner (local favourites and international dishes available). And if you’re up for some sky-high indulgence, there’s wine and cheese on the menu, too.
But that’s not all, you can get entertainment for the kids on Jetstar as well. Ask the crew for the Jetstar Kid’s Activity Pack, which comes with activity books, crayons, postcards, and collapsible cup, all in a colour-able sling bag.
