Good news – fans of the beloved book series Sherlock Sam by AJ Low can watch beloved characters come alive in Sherlock Sam: The Musical running from 11 to 20 May at Capitol Theatre! Dream Academy has chosen the series’ second case in the series titled Sherlock Sam and the Ghostly Moans in Fort Canning, where the best kid detective in Singapore and his friends encounter strange moaning at Fort Canning during a school excursion. Fort Canning’s history as a war bunker and burial ground gives this adaptation a spooky climate as the friends bust a crime ring!

What’s it all about?
Is it ever a normal day at the Sherlock Sam household? Of course, not! He’s whizzing and up to something with a mystery to uncover in Fort Canning. This time, one that’s got a meaningful message about friendships and more at its core.
Sherlock Sam and his robot assistant, Watson, set out to solve a mysterious case at Fort Canning Hill in Singapore with the help of his sister Wendy and their friends, Nazhar, Jimmy and Eliza. Strange ghostly moans have been heard in the area, and the young detectives are determined to uncover the source. As they continue their investigations, they find themselves facing unexpected challenges and twists that test their detective skills. Will they be able to solve the case, or will it remain a mystery forever?

1. Interactive elements aplenty
Every show promises to be a hoot with this interactive element. Kiddos can look forward to being part of the show when Uncle Muthu calls out to them from the darkened pathways at Fort Canning or as he cleans the music room at Sherlock Sam’s school. He’s going to be asking questions, especially if the kiddos are doing their part keeping their homes clean and more. It’s fun for the littlies to feel like they are part of the action.
2. Toe-tapping tunes & dazzling dance numbers
Kiddos can be enthralled by this tight-paced musical that’s replete with the catchiest of tunes, even to capture the most critical turns of the plot. Not to mention the moves on display, even Watson, the robot assistant, struts his stuff to much delight.
