Quality of education and affordability were the priority for parent Hina Zaheer when she was looking for a school for her kids, and she’s glad she found One World International School.
Just like every parent, Hina Zaheer wants the best for her three children. Hence, the quality of education offered was top on her list when she was looking for an international school for her children. The family finally settled on One World International School (OWIS), and they’re convinced that they’ve made the right choice. Read on to find out what Hina has to say about the school…
Hello Hina! Can you share a little about your children and what you know about OWIS?
I have three children aged ten, 11, and 15 who are attending OWIS’ Nanyang campus. The school offers IB PYP for early years and primary school, IGCSE for secondary school, and finally, IB Diploma for Grades 11 and 12.
We know that quality education is among your top priorities when choosing a school. Can you tell us what made you finally decide on OWIS?
Yes, the most important factors for me are the quality of education offered as well as affordability. After visiting a few different international schools, we selected OWIS as we were impressed by the infrastructure the school has and its reasonable fees. We also appreciate the open communication it practises and the honest drive it has in helping our children succeed not just academically but holistically. OWIS is a great school because it has kept its promise of delivering affordable high quality education over the years.
And has the school lived up to your expectations?
Definitely! We are very glad we chose OWIS because it has excellent staff, top notch education quality, and affordable fees. The school gives every child an opportunity to settle in and grow confidently, that’s what makes it so special.
Tell us more about your children’s experience in school: what do they enjoy most, do they feel welcomed there, etc.?
My children always feel welcomed at OWIS, and they love attending the school. The Head of School and other school staff greet them every morning with a smile. Their teachers are compassionate and passionate about what they do. They also love the facilities, especially the multipurpose hall and AV room where they have their performances. The play area, canteen, sports facilities, art and drama studios are also among their favourites.
What about your experience with the school? Does OWIS have a community for parents?
I’m highly satisfied with my interactions with the school. OWIS has parent groups on WhatsApp, as well as the OWIS Parent Committee, which all parents are encouraged to join. I really appreciate the efforts put in by the school to involve parents in their children’s learning journeys.
Last but not least, do you have any advice for parents who are still looking for the perfect school?
I would advise them to choose a school based on their family circumstances, be it financially or lifestyle-wise. OWIS is my personal recommendation if they’re looking for quality at a reasonable fee.
Thank you for sharing, Hina!
