Poppy and Mo plan to build a flying machine together… except they’re not quite sure how to. Can you and the kids help?
Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT) is kicking off its 2023 season with Fly High, its latest children’s play about two friends who are building a flying machine together. Unlike other shows, this one integrates STEM concepts into its storyline, presenting it through music, puppetry, and interactive storytelling. It’s also specially designed for young kids (recommended for ages three and above), encouraging them to use imagination and creative thinking to solve problems.
Do you want to build a flying machine?
Poppy and Mo both dream of flying. Naturally, the two became fast friends from the moment they met. They even came up with the idea of building their very own flying machine! There’s just one (huge) problem… they don’t know how to. Despite that, the duo are determined to make their flying dreams a reality. Fly High follows the adventures of Poppy and Mo as they embark on a quest to learn everything aviation related to build their flying machine.
A play about friendship, grit, and aerodynamics
As with many of SRT’s amazing productions for children, kids will be seeing positive values like friendship and teamwork brought to life in Fly High. But that’s not all, this latest show will also introduce the little ones to the wonderful world of aviation. Kids will be learning some basics of aerodynamics, all made fun and relatable through this fun, musical play.
Keen to embark on this quest with Poppy and Mo? Fly High will be staged at KC Arts Centre from 1 February 2023 onwards. There’ll be daily shows, with two time slots for each day:
Weekdays – 9:30am and 11:30am
Weekends and public holidays – 11am and 2pm
Tickets start from $27, and the fam can enjoy 15% in savings when you purchase a Family Package (four tickets or more)!
See you at Fly High!
