Partake in the New Year's Eve festivities in style and comfort at these family-friendly spots where you can see the fireworks from… Boom! We’ve got you covered!
Time to get excited, folks – the sky will be lighting up once again to celebrate one of the biggest annual celebrations in Singapore – New Year’s Eve! Fireworks will be set off around Marina Bay (and select housing estates). Planning to catch the fireworks display in real-time instead of via the telly? We’ve got the top places to watch fireworks in Singapore to add to your hitlist.
Psst, the fireworks are expected to go off at midnight on 1 January 2024. Don’t be late!
Where to watch the fireworks for New Year’s Eve in Singapore
1. Esplanade Roof Terrace
Here’s an open-air rooftop that you should park yourself at if you want to spot fireworks. Expect great views here – the Esplanade grounds in the foreground, the waterfront, Marina Bay Sands in the distance, and of course, the fireworks display. That’s basically the star of the entire view! Be sure to get here early on 9 August; we reckon it’s going to be packed to the brim.
Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, 1 Esplanade Drive, Singapore 038981
2. Merlion Park, Esplanade Bridge, and Jubilee Bridge
Another great area for top views of the fun. Bag a spot early and bring along a portable charger if you do go.
3. Helix Bridge and Benjamin Sheares Bridge
You can get a pretty good view from these spots, too, we reckon.
4. Singapore Flyer
How about catching the fireworks from up above? Head over to the Singapore Flyer, where you can be 165 metres above ground and witness (and snap photos of) the amazing display. As each rotation lasts about 30 minutes, we recommend timing your slot really well. You wouldn’t want to miss the fireworks before you even get on or finish the trip before the fireworks start!
Singapore Flyer, 30 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039803
5. Marina Barrage
Pack a picnic and capture some amazing family photos up on Marina Barrage as the fireworks pop behind you. The spacious rooftop area is ideal for families to hang out as well as the perfect spot for being wowed by the celebrations in the sky once the sun goes down. A great place for a family bike ride, too!

6. Gardens by the Bay
Gardens by the Bay is always a sure hit with the kids when it comes to family-friendly activities, so why not head over to check out the domes and some potential fireworks? You’ll get views of not only the Marina Bay area where the fireworks are happening but the South China Sea too. If your ants-in-their-pants kids are not cut out for a sit-down meal, then bag some turf around the Bay East Garden for the best views from the ground.

7. Bay East Garden
As mentioned above, if Gardens by the Bay is too crowded for your liking, we suggest hitting up Bay East Garden instead. Situated opposite Supertree Grove and the two conservatories, the location provides sweeping views of the Marina Bay Skyline minus the crowd. Plus, the littles can skate and scoot while waiting for the fireworks display.
Bay East Garden, 11 Rhu Cross, Singapore 437440
