Launched in 2009, Colours of Odyssey is the annual art exhibition showcasing the works of young students at Odyssey The Global Preschool. This show and fundraiser helps toddlers explore their creativity, and develop social awareness as well as compassion; take your little ones along and check out the beautiful creations of these young artists!
Showcasing children’s unique outlook of the world, as well as developing the spirit of philanthropy from young, Colours of Odyssey is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to education, which focuses on the importance of environment, the community and the freedom to be curious. This year’s exhibition, ‘Colours of Odyssey: Retrospective’ will be a documentation of children’s aesthetic development in various creative art techniques. Guided by Odyssey’s Art Specialists, who are part of the school’s versatile team of educators, students aged two to six have been challenged to use basic mediums to create innovative artworks.
Last year, Odyssey presented a cheque of over $10,000 from the proceeds of the sale of the children’s artworks to Singapore Children’s Society. All proceeds from artworks sold will once again be donated to the Singapore Children’s Society help young people in need.
