As part of the Century of Light showcase, National Gallery Singapore has collaborated with the Musée d’Orsay in Paris – one of the world’s leading modern art museums – to present Colours of Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay.
Curated by Marine Kisiel and Paul Perrin from the Musée d’Orsay, the exhibition features a collection of over 60 stunning masterpieces by the foremost innovators of the art movement such as Monet and Renoir. Come join the tours and talks as they highlight the importance of impressionism as an art movement and influence as well as sample the new dessert menu at Gallery & Co. cafeteria, The Pomme and Madeleine Mini, inspired by France. Art Explorers: Landscapes
Kids aged five and up can drop in for this docent-led programme to explore the impressionist paintings and engage in new ways of seeing and sketching.

Tween Workshops: Century of Light (11–16 yrs old)
9 December – Explore how the Impressionist painters depicted light and sketch under the guidance of an experienced artist to learn ingenious techniques to capture the effects of light in art.
16 December – Discover how the Impressionist painters used colour to create different
effects and experiment with pastels to create your own masterpiece.
