Here’s your holiday to-do list with the fam sorted: a roar-some afternoon at Asian Civilisations Museum celebrating Children’s Season by going on a quest at Mr Dragon’s Great Escape
The holidays have never looked better! This time, we’re kicking it off with an adventure at Asian Civilisations Museum with Mr Dragon’s Great Escape, part of ACM’s Children Season festivities, happening from now till 29 December. And that’s not all – back by popular demand, Fun-tastic Fridays and cool workshops are happening, too. Are you ready for some fun at ACM? Here’s everything you need to know:
Go on a roar-some adventure at ACM
Ask any kid and they’ll tell you that storytelling and adventure are high on their priority list. Which is why we’re grateful for the folks at ACM. They’ve created a super exciting quest, especially for the museum’s young folk aged 3 to 10 years old. Their mission: to free Mr Dragon, solve stimulating puzzles and meet fantastical creatures through an immersive installation and even an interactive story trail. The best part? The kiddos will learn all about Asian art and treasures through meaningful play and educational activities – sounds like a win-win sitch to us!
Mr Dragon’s Great Escape! by 8EyedSpud
Are you ready for a mission? Poor Mr Dragon has been trapped in his robe for – gasp – more than 100 years! Visit this interactive dragon robe installation, then go on an exciting quest around the museum by following a self-guided trail. All you need to do is pick up a Mr Dragon’s Great Escape Activity Trail booklet at the installation to get started.
When: Ongoing until 29 December, open daily from 10am-7pm, Fridays 10am-9pm
Where: ACM Lobby, Level 1
Price: Free admission to programmes; General admission charges into galleries apply.
Fun-tastic Fridays!
Here’s a new reason to say TGIF: Fun-tastic Fridays at ACM! We’re talking an immersive afternoon at the museum enjoying kid-friendly lunchtime concerts, drama performances and even craft activities. Adventure-seekers will love Mr Dragon’s Great Escape and the other special interactive kids’ tours. Worried that the kids won’t learn anything? The guides will be using Harvard’s Project Zero thinking routines and educational strategies (techniques for effective, enhanced learning) so you can be assured that your little ones will be doing lots of learning too!
