Twice Young (@wearetwiceyoung) is next in the line-up of home bakers to take up residency at Baker X. From 22 November to 21 December 2023*, food blogger Kimberley Yeo presents an array of delectable treats such as her signature handcrafted small-batch ice creams and brown butter cookies.
Inspired by her time abroad with her puppy Snuffles, food blogger Kimberley Yeo crafts her ice cream flavours by experimenting with different combinations of ingredients, redolent of the desserts she tasted in her varied travels. Dedicated to creating premium confections for both people and dogs, she sources for only the finest ingredients from all around the world such as Bronte pistachios from Sicily, first-flush hojicha from Kyoto, Grade A Tahitian vanilla beans, and more.
During her residency, Kimberley will be offering her signature handcrafted small-batch ice cream in five of her hallmark flavours – Kyoto hojicha, dark chocolate, roasted almond ($5.50/scoop); roasted Bronte pistachio, cacao nibs ($6.50/scoop); Italian Espresso, Sicilian pistachio fudge, roasted pistachio ($5.50/scoop); fresh passionfruit, fresh mint sorbet ($5.00/scoop); and pure Tahitian vanilla ice cream ($5.00/scoop). Her brown butter Fleur de Sel cookies ($10 for 6 pieces) are not to be missed as well. Boasting fragrant buttery notes from browned French butter, these cookies are studded with irresistible Belgian chocolate chips and a touch of Fleur de Sel sea salt to finish.
Exclusively at Baker X, Kimberley is introducing her crumble bar (from $8.90) in the first-to-launch warm apple crumble flavour. With an assortment of embellishments such as vanilla custard, vanilla ice cream, and rose petals, her crumble bar takes inspiration from ice cream parlours where customers can tailor the toppings to their fancy.
