Have you ever taken your little one to Universal Studios for a day of thrills ‘n’ spills, or for a soggy adventure at Wild Wild Wet with grand plans of spending the day trying fun activities and most importantly – hopping on an awesome ride or slide or two – only to find out (sniff) that your kiddo is just a few centimetres away from what could have been an amazing afternoon? We’ve been there… the kids were so upset we ended up crying too. Total parenting fail. 

Thankfully this excitement-turned-tears situation never need happen again: we’ve compiled the ultimate guide to height restrictions for ALL of Singapore’s family attractions. Here’s to saving yourself and your little one from tears… We guarantee your next day out will be (mostly) screams of joy!

Sentosa

There’s a good reason why Sentosa is known as Asia’s favourite playground – there’s just soooo many things to do! Do you remember when you went to your first theme park? So do we, and we think Universal Studios Singapore is a great way to get the kids excited about rides. With roller coasters, 4D adventures with Shrek, flying dinosaurs and a boat ride through Madagascar, there’s no shortage of fun things to do.

AJ Hackett Sentosa

If the rides at Universal Studios aren’t enough of an adrenaline rush for your little thrill seeker, then head over to Siloso Beach for AJ Hackett Sentosa. There’s a glass-panelled Vertical Skywalk where you can walk downwards from a height of 42m and a dual Giant Swing that clocks speeds as fast as 120km/hour–definitely not for the faint of heart! And if you really want a (heart-stopping) challenge, check out the Bungy Jump which has a devastating 47-metre drop! Eeek!

Bungy Jump No age requirement. Minimum weight: 40KG, Maximum weight: 150KG
Giant Swing No age requirement. Must be 1.2M or taller. The total combined weight of the Swing cannot be greater than 300KG
Vertical Skywalk Minimum age: 14 years old. Minimum weight: 40KG, Maximum weight: 110KG

Mega Adventure Park

For the kids with nerves of steel, the Mega Adventure Park is definitely worth checking out. We personally love the MegaZip, where you’re hurtled down at 60km per hour on a 75m high zip line over Imbiah Hill. It’s definitely a fun way to build up your threshold for heights!

Adventure Cove

The blazing hot days in Singapore call for awesome water play and Adventure Cove serves up a good dose of aqua fun. From massive water slides for kids (and the kids at heart) to a lazy river where you can just lounge on your float, a wave pool, and a wet maze, there’s plenty of things to do at Adventure Cove! Adventure Cove also has an actual coral reef for the kiddos to snorkel in!

River Safari

Love the Singapore Zoo? Then you’ll love the River Safari, where visitors can board boats to view animals that live along the world’s biggest rivers, including the Amazon, Yangtze, Mekong and the Mississippi. Visitors to the River Safari can choose between (or try both) two types of boat rides, the Amazon River Quest or the Reservoir Cruise.

GX-5 Xtreme Swing and Trampoline Bungy

Once you’ve satisfied the kids’ ravenous appetites at one of these kid-friendly cafes along the river, walk further down Clarke Quay to try out – if you dare – the GX-5 Xtreme Swing and Trampoline Bungy. Can’t find it? Just look up and follow the screams (of joy). Perfect for when teenagers are claiming to be bored: this will whip them out of that teen inertia quick smart.

Wild Wild Wet

If you’ve never been to Wild Wild Wet, then you need to pop this water park on your radar, stat! It’s long been one of our favourite water parks in Singapore, and with a recent facelift it’s better than ever. There’s something for everyone, including for the super brave teens and a water play area for tiny tots. A wave pool and giant unicorn inflatables seal the deal.

Forest Adventure

Finding ways to entertain high-spirited kids can be quite a task, so when we heard about Forest Adventure, we knew it would be a great way to get the kids outside and get them climbing and zipping around. We personally love the obstacle courses and how they’ve been grouped by age-level. If your kids are up for a challenge, then Forest Adventure is the way to go! We’re still trying to live down a Bridget Jones moment on the zip line across the lake…

Kids Course The minimum height required is 1.1m and the recommended minimum age is 5 years old
Junior Course the minimum height is 1.35m. Children below 10 must have be accompanied on the course by a participating buddy age 14 and above.
Grand Course                      The minimum height required is 1.5m. Maximum weight: 130kg. Children below 12 must have be accompanied on the course by a participating buddy age 14 and above
