You may have heard of the Reggio Emilia approach, but what does it actually look like in action? We popped down to Singapore American School’s early learning centre to find out. Check out our video to see it for yourself...
When it comes to choosing a good preschool in Singapore, our top priority is always one that encourages a love for independent learning. And that’s exactly what early learning at Singapore American School (SAS) is all about. We took a trip down to the campus for a peek at the Reggio Emilia-inspired early learning program, and were thoroughly impressed by what we saw!
Of course, a teaching approach is only as successful as the people who deliver it. At SAS, teachers are super experienced (358 years of combined teaching experience to be exact!) in picking up on students’ questions and turning them into learning opportunities. SAS’s small 1:8 teacher to student ratio has also led to a tightly-knit community where pupils get plenty of support in their learning journey.
Check out our video below to see what goes on in a typical class, and visit www.sas.edu.sg for more info.
