Held at the F1 Pit Building, Affordable Art Fair Singapore will showcase a wide range of contemporary art priced below $15,000 with 75% of the art offered at under $7,500.
Plus, with hands-on advice and educational guidance to all new and established art lovers and collectors, Affordable Art Fair makes art accessible and welcoming, and ensures that everyone can discover the joy of collecting art.
There are workshops for kids during the weekend, so look out for them! All workshops will take place in the Children’s Creative Space.
Check out the free workshop ‘If Lines Could Dance’, which encourages children to explore the world of mark-making through interactive and self-directed activities within the installation.
The self-directed activities immersed within the installation engages both parent and child to explore and be creative with the lines, textures, and colours that are found within the space. After exploring the installation, head over to the Maker’s Corner that is filled with an array of mediums, both wet and dry. Children here will be encouraged by the art surrounding them and to be an artist! They will learn and experiment to create a mark unique to their own.
Or, they could check out Mark Making Explorer, an interactive and educational art experience that surrounds the theme of mark-making. The workshop will also allow the participates to interact with the artist, engage closely with art installation and explore the wonders of mark-making through a guided tour. This experience is accompanied by the Mark Making Explorer Journal that is filled with various bite-sized activities, which you can purchase separately at the fair ($8).
Self-directed activities and Maker’s Corner are free for all ages. And, if you want to attend a Meet the Artist and workshop session ($15 for an hour), Peatix or on-site registration is available.
