We’re over half way through January and who has their New Year resolutions still intact? Ours were to spend more time in the gym, but we’ll be honest: our shiny new trainers remain unused. Oops. Luckily with Singapore Art Week kicking off this weekend and Pongal and Chinese New Year celebrations ongoing, there’s plenty to keep our weekends filled…

Come party at the next HoneyKids Family Fun Day with HWA

Learn what life is like as a HWA student while trying out the CNY activities that go hand-in-hand with the school culture. Stretch your green thumbs at Gardener’s Day Out

We could always use a few more tips on urban gardening and the monthly Gardener’s Day Out is packed with talks, workshops and demonstrations on how to make little gardens grow better. Get the kids up bright and early to go on a Garden Walk and then attend an upcycling workshop.

As part of the Pongal Festival celebrations, cattle such as cows, bulls, calves and goats are honoured to ensure a bountiful harvest. Farm-lovers should head on down to Hastings Road to meet the animals and join in with the ongoing celebrations.

Watch Badanmu Cadets live

The cute characters from Badanamu are hopping off your screens and onto the stage to usher in the Lunar New Year! Take part in craft activities, interactive touch screens, and sing your favourite Badanamu tunes in the karaoke booths. Catch Bada and Jess perform hit songs like Ponytail, Hop, Pop, Stop and Badanamu Time and get to meet them after every performance. On 19 January, 1pm, the creator of Badanamu himself, David Roberts will be present at the meet and greet.
