What’s On This Week: 25 Nov 1 Dec
Though it’s adieu to another entertaining month, we are all hyped up for the festive celebrations heading our way. But before we get ahead of ourselves, here’s our round up on what’s fun on our things to do list this final week of November. Brace your littlies for an adventure in the animal kingdom, a lesson on the wonders of outer space, a magical Disney extravaganza, and more!
Calling all animal lovers aged 6 to 10 years old: gear up for three days of fun-filled adventure at the Zoo Explorer Camp. Let your littlies try their hand at being a zoo exhibit designer for a day, learn to feed the manatees, and groom their favourite ponies and rabbits. With two sessions happening on Nov 25th and 27th, that’s twice as much fun to go around!
Let the littlies take flight into the avian world by immersing in the work of the keepers at Jurong Bird Park. Learn to prepare feed and enrichment for our feathered friends, and emerge from the one-day camp as a certified Junior Avian Keeper!
Budding inventors will want in on this one! WondersWork’s Space Invention Camp is offering hands-on experience with building space-themed inventions and robotics, using LEGO and various recycled materials. Bonus? A free goodie bag filled with astronaut ice cream, flight suit, and many more delightful treats.
Travelling with the kiddos is no easy feat, so grab some pointers (for free!) from Blue House Nursery and International School’s expert guru- Shona Sanosi. Learn how to keep the littlies engaged on the plane, how to deal with their jet lag, and pick up nifty tricks to help with the routine re-settling.
Abracadabra! Join Mickey and his Disney friends, along with a host of world-class magicians for a night of wonder at Mickey’s Magic Show. Little princesses will be amazed by Fairy Godmother transforming Cinderella’s rags into a beautiful ball gown in a split second, while the boys would be enchanted by the idiosyncrasies of Donald, Goofy, and the Mad Hatter.
Still tracking down that perfect school? Easties will be stoked that The Canadian International School is inviting everyone to explore their campus at Tanjong Katong. Head down to find out more about their international curriculum from Early Childhood Education to Grade 8 (3-13 years old), and view classes in action!
Based on the popular fairytale about Jack and The Beanstalk, this drama workshop at the Botanical Gardens will give the kiddos a chance to put all that acting to good use and participate in dramatization and play. As part of the workshop, they will also discover the wonders and importance of plants in their daily lives.
Home-grown kid’s musical sensation ToyBox is back with their annual Christmas extravaganza! Join Sheriff Bobcat Buckles and Abigail Ant for a jolly Yule show featuring live and original music, puppets, costumes, comedy and storytelling.
Overwhelmed by your tyke’s never-ending energy and activeness? The 750m Kids Dash, a non-competitive category in this year’s Standard Chartered Marathon, is the perfect activity for those energizer bunnies!
