The new heart of Singapore’s sporting scene is opening its doors! Offering state-of-the-art facilities like the new National Stadium, OCBC Arena, and OCBC Aquatic Centre, Singapore Sports Hub promises to bring the best of Asia’s sports, leisure, and entertainment to the island. Don’t mistake this as an exclusive venue for elite sports people; there is tons in store for the us too, so check out our scoop on this highly anticipated destination!
Free Facilities
Singapore Sports Hub has some awesome free sports and lifestyle facilities that parents and kids of all ages will want to check out. Probably more than once if you want to fit in rock climbing at Climb Central, boarding at the Skate Park, and a game of beach volleyball. You can also return again and again to check out the hard courts along the waterfront, the nine different exercise and fitness stations and the kid’s playground on the rooftop of the Sports Hub Library. You might even want to give the brain a workout with the Giant Chess board and Lawn Bowls Green located on the rooftop of the Singapore Sports Museum.
Aquatic Adventures
If you and your kids love being in the water, there’s a whole range of water sports to get involved in, including on-trend aqua cycling exercise, scuba diving classes, kayaking courses, and snorkeling programmes. You can even rent your own boats and head out for a relaxing day paddling down the 35-hectares of newly developed Kallang Basin.
Experience Sports
From 28 June till 30 July, Singapore Sports Hub will be holding a special ‘Experience Sports Weekend’ programme before the official programme kicks off in August. Designed for all ages, all sporting abilities, and all proficiency levels, Singapore peeps are invited to drop by every Saturday and Sunday to get active and try out a whole range of new sports.
Discover and Learn
In support of Singapore’s vision 2030 – ‘Live Better Through Sports’ – Singapore Sports Hub’s library aims to be the centre of sports knowledge for the community and sports professionals. This is where you’ll get access to a wealth of knowledge on sports and health in print, audio-visual, and electronic form. The Sports Hub Library has also planned a comprehensive schedule of upcoming talks and workshops, catered for folks who are interested in the mind, body and wellbeing.

What more can you expect? Splash-N-Surf, which is a creative water play area specially for families with young children, Singapore’s first sports-related museum, and the Kallang Wave Mall are all set to open soon too.
