Returning for the second year, Relay for Life aims to mobilise the community to raise awareness, change behaviours, and to raise funds for the fight against cancer.
Participants will form teams and take turns walking around a designated path for 15 hours overnight. Each team is asked to have a member on the path at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. The global movement founded in May 1985 by American Cancer Society in Tacoma, Washington, wants to rally the community together to Celebrate the lives of those who battled cancer, Remember loved ones lost and Fight Back against a disease that has taken so much.
Each person will be entitled to an event t-shirt and goodie bag. Participants are encouraged to fundraise for RFL and an exclusive ‘Fundraiser’ t-shirt will be given in recognition to fundraiser who raised $100 and above.
