Fun holiday classes that improve learning
We’re always on the hunt for new activities in Singapore, and if they involve learning, then even better. So who knew our latest search would lead us to clay. More fun, less Tiger Mother to be sure. But the team at Da Vinci Group run fantastic courses using this simple medium to impart the benefits of Neuroeducation. Huh? Don’t worry, if celeb ambassador Goldie Hawn gets it, so can you…
Neuroeducation is a thought provoking (literally) approach to education that uses the process of creating art to improve a child’s ability to learn, retain information and become more engaged in anything they apply themselves to – be it physics or car mechanics. By taking a lump of clay and forming something with it, a child is problem-solving, deepening their emotional understanding and perhaps collaborating with their peers. And because creating a piece of pottery has no right or wrong, score or rules (unlike sport or other ECAs), a child learns the vital skill of self-expression.
And here we were thinking we were just getting our hands dirty and having a Ghost moment when really we’re improving our minds! Now we’re keen for our kids to give some clay artistry a crack and Da Vinci Group have a variety of tailored classes to experience…
Join your kids at the Da Vinci Group Open Day
Come along for a taster session where you’ll not only have plenty of FUN with your kids but you’ll also gain a better understanding of the principles underpinning this awesome teaching method. Although it’s aimed at kids 18 months to 12 years, the whole family’s welcome to roll up their sleeves and let the creative juices flow (it’s never too late to teach an old dog new tricks, and Da Vinci Group also run adult courses too!). You’ll no doubt be hooked and find yourself back the week after to paint your works of art. The whole experience culminates in a Clay Fest where you can take home your mantelpiece worthy creations. There’ll be some rocking beats and delish grub so make an arvo of it!
