We’re a little bit addicted to mobile beauty services in Singapore. Between the endless breastfeeding and nappy changing, planning weeknight dinners for the fussy eaters, or running around between school, work and playgroups, where do mums squeeze in time to take care of themselves? If your hair’s smelling of apple sauce (on a good day), your nails are chipping or your body could do with a good rub down, an at-home service can come to the rescue. Mobile beauty treatments are on the rise in Singapore, offering everything from massages to mani-pedis, and brow shaping to blow-dries. We say they’re a lifesaver for time-crunched women, so to help you unwind and look your best, here’s our pick of the best at-home services – we like to call them the HoneyKids’ mobile beauty dream team:
BLOW-DRIES & MORE: The Big Blow

Perfect for busy mums who need a quick fix, or new mamas who aren’t quite up for a visit to the hair salon, gone are the days of looking like you put your finger in a socket.

BROWS & MAKE-UP: Laura Tait Professional Makeup and Mobile Beauty
A qualified beauty therapist and professional makeup artist from the UK, Laura has been on the Little Red Dot for the past 14 years, and has taken Singapore by storm with her tweezers and brushes. As a brow specialist, she’s your go-to girl if you’re in dire need of definition, shaping or tinting. She steers clear from waxing in the brow area, as she says it may cause sagging and fine lines around the eyes due to stretching! (An eyebrow raiser, isn’t it?) A brow shaping will cost you $15 and lash and brow tints are $25 each. If it’s professional make-up or a lesson you need, Laura will come equipped with her kit including brands like Makeup Forever, MAC and YSL, and her invaluable knowledge of keeping make-up on faces in Singapore’s balmy climate – all you have to do is sit back and put your best face forward. She’s also recently added spray tanning to her beauty repertoire as part of the Tan@Home team (see below).
Prices range from $60-$90; lessons from $70-$85. Her transport fee ranges from $5-25, www.lauratait.wix.com/laurataitmua
