Now, you’ll never have to try hard to recall a fun guide or a handy tip you came across on HoneyKids. Here are some FAQs to help you get going:
How do I save an article?
First things first: you’ll need to register or sign into your HoneyKids account. Click on the “SIGN IN” tab on the right of the top menu bar.
Once you’re signed in, you can start saving articles. If you’re on desktop, you’ll see a heart icon at the top-right of the image when you mouse over a post – see below.
If you’re on mobile or tablet, click through to the article, and hit “save article”.
Once you hit “save”, you’ll be prompted to put the article into an existing folder, or you can create a new one if you do not have any.
How do I create a new folder?
There are two ways to do this: one is to click on the “Add New Folder” tab at the bottom of the pop-up window when you try saving an article.
There will be a little dropdown form where you can give your new folder a name – see below. You may also add a description here for more information.
Under the “Privacy” field, you’ll notice that there are two options – Public and Private. If you wish to make your folders shareable to friends and families (via a public web address that you can share), then pick Public. Don’t worry – this option doesn’t open up your account to everyone. Otherwise, select “Private”.
Another way is to through your HoneyKids account. After you’ve signed in, head to your account by clicking on the “Favorites List” at the top right of the navigation bar.
Once in, you’ll see a box labelled “Create your own folder”. Click that and you can include more a name and description for your new folder.
Where can I see my saved items?
You’ll be able see everything you’ve saved, organised into the dedicated folders you’ve created, in your HoneyKids account once you’ve signed in. Simply click on your name on the top right of the page, and select a folder or the “Favorites List” tab to see its content!
How do I delete the article that I’ve saved?
Got an article in the wrong folder? Follow these steps to remove the story: go into the folder in the drop-down menu when you click your name on the top right corner of the page. This will bring you to the folder’s page. Click on “X” button on the top right of each article.
How do I delete or edit a folder?
Go into your account (click on your name on the top right of the screen, and then select “Favorites List”), and you’ll see all the folders you’ve created. To remove a folder, simply click on the “X” button on the top right of the folder. To edit the name, description and privacy setting, click on the “Edit” button on the top left of the folder and the fields will appear in the drop-down form. Remember to click “Update” to save your changes!
Who can see what I’ve saved, and how do I share my folder?
If you set it public, you’ll be able to share that folder to your friends via email, social media or chat by sharing the URL of the folder, or via the “Share” button on the folder in your account page, as seen in the image above. To grab the URL, go into the folder first, then copy the URL or web address. It will look something like this: http://honeykidsasia.com/my-folders/?cbxbmcatid=124#rg0Fc72g1rFauGKF.97
