Looking for a school holiday camp in Singapore with a difference? It’s time to get planning your child’s break. Forget tuition classes, or endless hours with the iPads and computer games – it’s best to sign them up for a quality holiday program, where their free time can be used wisely in developing crucial life skills. To make sure that your kids make the best of their year-end hols, The Keys Academy is offering a series of interest-based and innovative interdisciplinary camps.
For children between the ages of eight to 10 years old, the Tech Star Jr. classes will allow them to unleash their imagination through programming animated characters and plots with MIT Media Lab’s software Scratch. Mini Dick Tracys will be delighted to hear about the CSI: Mystery Murder classes (for kids 10-12 years old), where’ll they solve a murder mystery using a combination of math and science and practise their communication skills when they present their case to the grand jury.
Budding entrepreneurs will hone their skills in Silicon Valley 101 (for 12-14 year olds), in which they’ll design a consumer product for millennials, and learn to market them to consumers. And finally, for a skill even adults are clamouring to learn, sign your 14 to 17 year olds up for Wall St. Basics, which covers finance for beginners and teaches kids how to analyse the impact of global events on the stock market.
The programs kick off in October, with dates available from 12-16 October and 19-23 October. For more information on camp descriptions and dates, visit The Keys Academy.
