The opening of an awesome new Sky Gym
Seen some activity in and around the old buildings of Loewen Gardens and wondered what’s happening? We can cure your curiosity with a very nice discovery: Blk 75, a former army barracks building is being converted into a brand new Sky Gym, set to be one of the best-equipped gymnasiums, specifically designed for children, in Singapore.
Ever set foot on a 9 metre long tumble track trampoline? Now you can…well, your kids can! This springy, bouncy, ultimate kid’s playground is ready to take on all the energy that your little ones can throw at it come September. A fully kitted out 250 square meters filled with a wide range of gymnastic apparatus is ready and waiting to be tackled by children 12 months to 7 years of age.
Gymnastics is not only fun, it also develops fitness, balance and flexibility. It’s not just for the body either – confidence and discipline are very handy by-products that kids will pick up and be able to apply to other aspects of their lives. Bring the kids along to a free session on Saturday 6 September to try it out!
They’ll be in great hands too. Sky Gym has been providing general gymnastics classes to kids since 2005 with the expert guidance of Gym Consultant, Kevin Lam. They’ve now joined forces with White Lodge Preschools to offer programmes that are tailored to the needs of children at many different levels.
The fun and super-qualified coaches at Sky Gym’s custom-built new location are dedicated to offering each child a hands-on approach so classes will initially be offered for Gymtots, Kindergym and Recreation. Progress will be monitored closely and safely and eventually programmes for more advanced levels will be introduced.
