It’s never too early to get little ones interested in science! Get your toddlers’ brains buzzing at these fun-packed, parent-child workshops coming to KidsSTOP from October...
We’re always on the lookout for exciting, educational activities here in Singapore to try out with our curious toddlers, so we’re absolutely on board for this: a new parent-child programme, TOTally Science, is kicking off at KidsSTOP this October! We adore that this series of workshops helps young minds to grasp new concepts through hands-on fun. After all, there’s no better way to learn than through play! Your tot might not be able to actually say the word ‘science’ just yet, but we absolutely know that they will have fun trying the real deal out for themselves!
KidsSTOP, the children’s science centre, offers free-play for children aged 18 months to eight years old, but its TOTally Science programme is a first in Singapore – this is a lovely introduction to science aimed at two and three year olds. There will be plenty of experimenting and exploring in a specially designed environment, and age-appropriate activities guaranteed to thrill curious kids. Created around various themes that cover the human body, nature and Christmas, each session offers plenty of opportunity for inquisitive little minds to learn about science through play. Sounds awesome to us!
Each programme involves four sessions and costs $150 (excluding GST and online registration costs). The one-hour long workshops will be held every Saturday at 10-11am at the KidSTOP party room.
First up is the launch of All About Me, where friendly-giant mascot, Stuffee, will be on hand to help small scientists learn all about their bodies. Toddlers will have a great time playing games trying new activities, jam-packed with educational fun. Could there be anything cuter than a toddler trying to work out how legs work, hands clap and bodies move with a bunch of new friends?

When November arrives so will the Nature sessions: explore a mesmerising world of flora and fauna, where little ones can get creative by making puppets out of leaves and mix up an insect repellent potion of their own! Growing up in an urban city like Singapore should never be a barrier to learning about, and being a part of, the great outdoors.

Before we know it, December will be here, and with it you can expect the Christmas programme to ho-ho-ho its way to KidsSTOP for some festive fun! Little ones will love getting their hands messy (and cold!) with some cool experiments, and you can also expect some very jolly Xmas crafts too. We even hear that you and your small elf will get the chance to make a Christmas tree of your own!

HoneyKids readers who sign up for a TOTally Science programme for the first time will receive a $20 token. All you have to do is mention this article at your first fabulous lesson. Enjoy, folks!
