What Sets This School Apart

The Australian International School’s ‘globally focused, distinctly Australian’ approach provides students with an international education that is underpinned by the Australian curriculum. As the only southern-hemisphere school to offer both the IB and Australian curriculums for students aged 2 months to 18 years, the Australian International School is widely regarded as a leading centre of educational excellence in Singapore.

Despite its non-selective admissions policy, AIS consistently achieves outstanding academic results across all areas of the curriculum. In 2018, the School achieved a 100% pass rate on the IBDP for the third year running, with one student achieving the highest possible IB score of 45 points. The school also saw 9 of its students appear on the HSC Distinguished Achievers list for 2018. AIS continues to strive for academic excellence as part of a well-rounded and balanced education.

Exciting New Developments

AIS has continued to grow rapidly since it was founded in 1993, with the latest groundbreaking stage of development having launched in 2017. The Early Learning Village provides learning capacity for 800 young learners aged 2 months to 18 years.

Featuring bright, spacious classrooms each with their own outdoor learning space, the Early Learning Village is the first of its kind in Singapore and every element has been specifically designed with young learners in mind. With sprawling outdoor play decks, 6 multi-purpose rooms for dance, drama, music and physical education, plus a specialist early learning swimming pool, this is a place where young children love to learn and have fun

School Culture
The Australian International school offers a holistic, rounded education, which cherishes the arts and sport as well as academics as being essential to each student’s learning journey. The AIS curriculum and culture not only values academic achievement, but aims to develop students into adults who have a moral commitment to making the world a better place as reflective, caring knowledgeable and principled people.

As an international school, diversity is at the heart of the AIS culture. With a community made up of more than 50 different nationalities, students are exposed to a truly global education and the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of other cultures.

One thing that really sets AIS apart is the wonderful sense of belonging and community spirit that can be felt across the whole school. Whether it’s the students, parents, teachers or support staff, everybody always has a smile on their face at this friendly school, and new members of the community are made to feel extremely welcome. The school offers an array of social opportunities for both parents and students, and is a place where lifelong friendships are created and nurtured.
