The advent calendar countdown has begun and it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Excitement levels amongst our small elves are growing by the day, so we’re starting to ramp up the festive feels with our 10 things to do by throwing a whole heap of Xmas magic at the weekend. Hold on to your Santa hats, people…
1. Find out if the kids are on the naughty or nice list
Yep, we’ve only gone and done it. We’ve brought Santa back to one of our favourite kid-friendly shopping malls, and we can’t wait to share the festive party with you all. Take a sleigh ride (or taxi) over to the Tanglin Mall Santa Workshop for games, prizes, craft and, of course, the big fella in red himself. Yule love it!

2. Head to a Christmas Wonderland
Whoop, whoop, it’s finally Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay time! This year promises to be bigger and brighter than ever, and with ice skating, Santa, snow machines and even a circus, this is definitely one not to be missed. Check out our guide to all the Christmas Wonderland adventure before heading over.

3. Hang out with some cuddlies
Whether your kids have a soft spot for Care Bears, Forever Friends bears or Paddington Bear, you need to bring them to the Bearytale Christmas at Suntec City where all kinds of popular bears will be performing in live shows. There’ll also be Christmas craft, meet and greets, tea parties and prizes to round off the warm and fuzzy feels.

4. Let it Go one more time
Just when you thought you could Let It Go, Frozen is back again and this time the movie is being set to a live orchestra and choir! One not to be missed by fans of all things Disney princess.

5. Go to a Christmas Festival by the river
A pop-up market, giant lawn games, live music, magicians and even a pizza acrobat are what you’ll find at the first ever Quayside Christmas Festival over in the Robertson Quay area.

6. Get some Christmas shopping done at a festive market
Whatever you do don’t miss the festive Christmas Farmers Market at Loewen Gardens. Not only will you be tempted to fill your stockings with goodies from vendors selling fresh foods including organic veggies, cheeses, wines and Xmas gifts, there’s entertainment for the kids too.

7. Learn all about one of our fave things: coffee!
Need a bit of mum time out away from your little Xmas angels? Pick up a new skill at a workshop just for grown ups: we’re loving the look of Coffee Flavour Discovery by CMCR where you’ll learn how to identify different flavours in coffee in a unique sensory caffeine kinda experience. We’re all about the coffee. And wine.

8. Put up the Xmas tree
Its December. Which means that it is officially permissible to put up the tree! Hurrah! Check out our guide to where to buy a real fir or a fabulous fake tree and then go mad throwing decorations at it with the kids. The twinklier the better, we say.
9. Bring the kids to a musical theatre show
Catchy tunes, a classic tale and a host of quirky, cute characters are what you can expect in the charming page-to-stage adaptation of Chicken Little by Singapore Repertory Theatre. Will the sky fall? Catch it to find out before it finishes next weekend.

10. Discover your inner farmer at The Singapore Farm Festival
You’re never too young or too old to love a day at the farm, we say. Ready for a countryside treat? The Singapore Farm Festival is heading to Kranji, with two days of events brimming with fresh produce, artisanal foods and fun activities for kids.
